Another cattle smuggler's property attached by Dhubri police

DHUBRI: The property attachment of another cattle smuggler, Samsul Hoque alias Gabbar Singh was officially completed by Dhubri police on Monday. The attachment of properties has been carried as per the provisions of Assam Cattle Preservation Act 2021. The total value was Rs. 1,02,01,202 (Rupees one crore, two lakh, one thousand two hundred two), both movable and immovable property. The movable and immovable properties include land at five different places and cash amount in the two bank accounts.

Earlier, first property attachment of cattle smuggler, Nazrul Haque was done by the police under the same provision of the Act and then movable and immovable property worth Rs 66 lakhs was attached.

Talking to the media persons, Additional Superintendent of Police, Bidyut Bikas Bora Bhuyan said that action against cattle smuggling and property attachment of trans-border cattle smugglers as well would be intensified in days to come.
